Geno: Information technology has been a particular interest of mine since I first began tinkering with computers when I was 13 years old. An understanding of computers and information technology is not an area where I can claim expertise, but I do like to learn about and understand these topics more than the average person. Since a cybersecurity expo that my employer held around five years ago, I have held a new interest in the cyber and information security realm, so much so that I made it my focus of study in college. I hope to utilize the knowledge I gain to make a career in the cybersecurity industry, preferably with the company which I am currently employed. In the TEC101: Fundamentals of Information Technology & Literacy class, my aspiration is to learn about information technology more deeply and focus on the basics. I hope that by doing so I will be able to delve into the finer details and complicated processes associated with information technology and cybersecurity and become an expert in the field.
